Florahome Business Burglarized and Suspect Arrested

Florahome FL: On Tuesday August 15, 2017, at approximately 4:30 pm, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the business known as Florahome Station located at 105 Coral farms Road. At the business they discovered an open window and door. After clearing the structure, it was determined the business had been burglarized and an unknown amount of both loose change and rolled change was missing. 24-year-old Derek Tyler Trull became a person of interest after it was determined he was at the Florahome Dollar General (just across the street from the burglarized business) shortly after the time of the burglary and exchanged loose and rolled change for paper currency.

On Wednesday August 16, 2017, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Detective Tyler Miller located Trull and interviewed him regarding the burglary. After being interviewed, Trull was placed under arrest and transported to the Putnam County Jail where he was booked on one felony count of burglary and one misdemeanor count of larceny. He is currently being held on a bond of $3,000.
